The volunteers at Gan Hayeled help according to their abilities, their skills and the time they have available and choose between various areas of volunteering:

Members of the Association – people with a strong sense of social awareness who are available for a social activity can be partners in determining the policy, help in marketing the Association and strengthening contacts with different sectors of the community. We need help in fund raising, secretarial and treasury tasks as well as organizing events.
Assistance to the Instructors who run the activities – for the various after school activities, we need warm-hearted people who can help and accompany children in need of assistance during the various activities.

Direct instruction – we are looking for therapists in the fields of music, art, computers, animals and movement who are interested in holding a weekly course or in individual treatment.

Retired Ministry of Education personnel – retired special education teachers are welcome to help the Association in their areas of expertise.

Maintenance work – we also need people of goodwill with good hands who are prepared to help with maintenance tasks in the garden and looking after the animals.

The younger generation – we invite the younger generation, through their schools, their youth movements or alone, with their class friends or with their families to create a personal fraternal contact with our children and to help them integrate into the community.

Gan Hayeled’s volunteer community

The Haifa community – individual volunteers from the local community support and help in various areas.

School children – collaboration with the Reali School in Haifa in the framework of the project “Contributing to the community” – elementary school pupils participate in the activities at Gan Hayeled together with children of their age and help them make social contacts.

Youth – high school pupils in the frame work of personal commitment help the staff of instructors in various areas.
